In the early 2000s, BQ, then called Jin Financial Planning Services, partnered with MetLife and 8 mutual fund companies, laying the groundwork in insurance and investments. In 2004, BQ signed with BISYS as a Top Manager Entity general agent, gaining access to the largest life insurance carrier system search in the world. Within the first year, BQ recruited 60+ brokers and launched the concept of “百强寿险，百家精选” (Top 100 Life, 100 Best Selections). By 2010, BQ transformed into an Independent Marketing Organization (IMO) representing 25 insurance carriers, promoting core products, and acting as an integrator of top-tier insurance solutions. In 2013 NIW sought a national general agency for its newly created Kai-Zen program. Robert Jin signed with NIW CEO Daen Wombwell, making BQ one of the earliest Top IMOs to introduce Kai-Zen.

Robert Jin

meet our Founder | BQ Financial 联合创办人 / 主席

Robert Jin was born near Xishuangbanna in Yunnan. He spent most of his youth growing up immersed in the rich traditions of the Loess Plateau. The natural beauty of the tropical highlands nurtured his passion for nature, while Shanxi merchant culture instilled in him values of integrity, resilience, and trustworthiness. Before coming to the U.S., Mr. Jin taught at Yuncheng University. Over the next three decades, he studied, worked, and built a career in America, including years at Fortune 500 companies. In 2002, he and his wife Tina Pan founded BQ Financial together.
